Thanks for applying for the 2021/2022 Snowsports Academy program. Details have slowly been coming in. We got the 2021/22 SD 22 schedule last week. The plans are to have a two semester system again this year. But of course this could change if there is an up-take in Covid-19 cases this fall.
The SD 22 Snowsports Academy webpage has been updated as of August 23. Click here. Here you will find a draft schedule and approximate fees for this coming year.
At this time we ask the following:
- Please review the proposed schedule and draft fees. Please note the SD 22 Academy is a supplement to the SS Freestyle club winter TEAM which you will be invited to in October. After school fall training options will be circulated in the coming weeks. There will be trampoline and dry- slope rail options.
- Please pay a deposit of $250 to show your intent to join the program. Click here. This deposit is due by September 1. This deposit is fully refundable prior to September 15 if you decide the program is more than you were expecting. You will need to have paid a deposit by the deadline to participate in the program for this season. It is not guaranteed you will have a spot in the program if you have not paid the deposit.
- Please look for an official invitation to the program from either coach Svin or Coach Hayden to the program. Some athletes may have a probationary period before being fully accepted into the program.
Lastly, I would like to let all the athletes know that if it is your goal to become the best you have ever hoped for (and then some) this program is for you. You will participate in a program that will give you the skills to get you past where you could have even imagined. This program will not be easy but if you take its challenges everyday you will achieve great things, become fit, ski better, jump better, rail better, and take on your fears like it's not a big thing. Most of all you will be prepared for a strong future in skiing that is balanced with education and life.
